MALDEN GOLF CLUB MEMBERS LTD

Notice is hereby given of the Annual General Meeting of Malden Golf Club Members Ltd to be held at 6.15pm on Saturday 9th September 2023 at the Clubhouse of Malden Golf Club to transact the following business:

1. Annual Reports and Summary Accounts

To Receive the Chairman’s and Chair of Finance’s Reports and Accounts for the financial year ended 31st May 2023.

2. Election of Officers for the forthcoming year

  • To elect William Fairbairn as Captain. William is already a Director. Proposed by Nigel Gills and seconded by Geoff Start.
  • To elect Peter Felix as President. Proposed by David Bigg and seconded by Brendan McCullagh.
  • To elect Mr David Ball as Vice-Captain Proposed by David Woolmer and seconded by Richard Howell.

3. To elect Directors

 The Board has determined that there are 2 vacancies to fill from the following candidates:
  • Mark Atkinson as a Director (Re-election) Proposed by Phil Durbin and seconded by David Edmonds.
  • Andy Ness as a Director Proposed by Mike Drye and seconded by Gary Robinson.

4. Any Other Business

NOTE: You are entitled to attend, speak and vote at the meeting.  

If you are unable to attend the meeting or are not certain whether or not you will be able to attend, you may appoint a proxy by
using the attached form or by using the link in the e-mail that accompanies this Notice. It is usual to appoint the Chair of the Meeting to cast your vote on your behalf, however, if you prefer, you can appoint someone else to attend the meeting on your behalf and cast your vote according to your wishes.

When you have indicated on the form how you would like to vote that is how your vote will be cast and neither the Chairman nor your proxy will be able to vary this. If you do not instruct your proxy to vote in a specific way your proxy will vote as they think fit. 

Your proxy need not be a Member of the Company, but they must be present at the AGM. The proxy form must be received at the Club’s Office in either paper or electronic form by 5.00pm on Thursday 7th September 2023.  Your name must be clearly visible on the form. If in paper form it must be delivered to Manager, Malden Golf Club, Traps Lane, New Malden, Surrey, KT3 4RS.  If in electronic form, it must be sent to: agm@maldengolfclub.com

IMPORTANT – Please note that if you vote online or by using the proxy form you cannot vote again at the meeting!
