Ladies Golf

All playing members, including junior ladies with a playing handicap of 36 or less are eligible to compete in competitions. Our ladies medal competitions are played monthly, usually on the 1st Tuesday and the 1st Sunday, being the alternative day. There are also monthly stablefords generally on the 3rd Tuesday and Sunday.

There are a number of other stroke play Major competitions in which all Ladies are encouraged to participate and a number of these are listed below:-

Spring & Autumn Meetings – 2 days
Tuesdays and Thursdays John Daybell Trophy – 2 days,
Monday and Tuesday Lady Captain’s Prize – 1 round
Sayer Cup – 2 days
Monday and Tuesday Veterans Cup – 1 round

We have some special “social golf” too, namely Lady Captain’s Team v Hon Secretary’s (Spring and Autumn) – losers pay for lunch!! Christmas Competitions followed by lunch, 9 dine and wine, Ladies and Seniors Texas Scramble (Spring and Autumn) and 2 Mini Invitation Meetings to invite friends to.

As many Ladies as possible attend their AGM, when the Lady Captain is elected, in November. We have a Christmas Dinner and we hold a dinner on our Lady Captain’s Day, in June. There are a number of knockout competitions held throughout the year including singles, 4 ball and foursome competitions. The prizes for these are all generously sponsored and all Ladies are encouraged to follow the Finals and attend the Presentation of Prizes, immediately after play is finished.
