This week’s Tuesday night 9 hole roll up had 33 players take part, which was a 120% increase on week 1, so thank you for the support! A fantastic turnout.

The results were as follows

1st Ruaridh Kelly with 23 points £68.20

2nd Carl Perry with 21 points £40.92

3rd equal were Jane Gear and Ewan Bennet each scoring 19 points £13.64

Thank you to Ben Tebbs for adding 10% to the winnings each player received, which is awarded as Pro Shop Credit.

There were 2 twos – Chandan Singh and Peter Lang, each receiving a Pro V 1 for their efforts

ORDER OF MERIT
After week two this puts Ruaridh Kelly in the lead with 20 points, followed by Charlie Howes on 12 points. Phil Ruby is close behind on 11.5. The full order of merit will be published in a month or so after a few weeks play.

In the first two weeks alone there have been 41 players take part including 7 ladies. Remember the Tuesday night roll up is open to all playing members.

The process is simple. Arrive from around 5pm – in the height of summer play can start later if needs be but generally the last groups go out around the 6.30-6.45 mark – but it can be later. In the members bar by the door there is a sign-up sheet. Put your name down and pay £5 before you play. If you would like your score to count for handicapping purposes then put an (S) after your name. This will only be possible on normal stableford weeks.

Then you fix up for a game and ideally go out in 3 balls. The idea is that you arrange with the people that are here in order, and not in a pre arranged group, that means nobody get’s left out. The goal is to mix as many members together as possible – who knows you may find your next fourball or mixed fourball partner? I will try to be around most weeks to help people get a game if needs be. And Darren Howes is generally here at 6.30 also, he can help fix up a game if required.

Next week Tuesday 30th is our 3 clubs and a putter week. So..... start thinking now about what clubs you will use and get practicing- playing with fewer clubs is proven to improve your imagination and skill (honestly) and it is a bit of fun.

Until next time,

David
